Financial Anxiety is Real



Many of us face financial anxiety day in and day out, but feel helpless. We feel that nothing can be done to get rid of it. But that’s not true. There are many ways by which you can eradicate or get rid of financial anxiety.


So here are three mindful ways of managing your financial anxiety and being at peace.


1. Gratitude - We talk a lot about Gratitude. We all agree that Gratitude expressions are quite important. So take a moment to focus on what you have rather than what you lack. There are a lot things which money can’t buy - relationships, health experiences. So extend your gratitude to them. And those where you spend money, be grateful for all that your money is helping you receive - food, shelter, good clothes, education, travel etc.

When we shift our focus on things we have and things our money is helping us get, we shift the CC energy of our relationship with money from scarcity to abundance.


2. Mindful Spending - Engage in mindful spending. To do this, before every big or small purchase you make, practice a simple pause. During this pause, ask yourself if this purchase aligns with your values, your principles and your current top priorities in life. Mindful & Intentional spending will help you manage your temporary temptations and reduce impulsive purchases. Thereby contributing to your satisfaction and contentment in the things you have.


3. Being in the present - Not just for financial peace but even for any kind of peace you would like to achieve in your life, focus on the present moment. Financial anxiety often stems from worrying about the future or dwelling on our past mistakes.


Bring your attention to the present moment and engage in activities that ground you, such as deep breathing, meditation or engaging in a hobby you enjoy. These can reduce the impact and even break the cycle of anxious thoughts and cultivate a sense of calm and control.
